Scalloped Chicken Casserole Recipe
Ingredients
3 pounds chicken (or turkey), cooked, deboned
Casserole Mixture
1 1/2 quarts bread crumbs
4 tablespoons chicken fat
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped celery
3/4 cup butter, melted
4 tablespoon flour
Dash of pepper
3 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup cream
1 teaspoon finely chopped onion
1 quart chicken broth
Directions for Chicken Potato Casserole
- Turn oven to 375 degrees
- In bowl, mix together all ingredients.
- In a casserole dish, alternate layers from casserole mixture to chicken pieces
- Bake for 40 minutes
My husband has never been too fond of chicken, but he certainly loves this scalloped chicken casserole recipe. My children love this dish, too, and they make it often in their own homes
