Ham Macaroni Casserole Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup uncooked elbow macaroni
1 1/2 cup loose pack frozen green beans
1 1/2 cup frozen crinkle carrots (or fresh cooked carrots)
2 cups diced ham
1/3 cup milk
1 can cream of celery or cream of broccoli soup
1 can mushrooms
2 tablespoon chopped pimento
1/2 teaspoon dry crushed basil or thyme
1 tablespoon minced onion
2 cups croutons
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions for Ham Macaroni Casserole Recipe
- Turn oven on to 375 degrees
- Cook the macaroni following package directions
- Mix in the vegetables and boil for 5 minutes
- In a bowl, mix together all the ingredients including ham (exectp for the croutons)
- Add the ham and macaroni mixture into casserole dish
- Cook for 30 minutes
- Remove ham and macaroni casserole and add croutons
- Cook for 5 more minutes
For this ham and macaroni casserole recipe, I added some chopped celery and green pepper at the same time as the onions for a little change, upped the cheese content, and everyone in the family went crazy for it
