Italian Meatball Casserole Recipe
Ingredients
1/3 cup chopped green onions
1/4 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs shopping list
3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
1 pound ground beef
1 (1 pound) loaf Italian bread, cut into 1 inch cubes
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
3 cups spaghetti sauce
1 cup water
2 cloves garlic, minced
Directions for Italian Meatball Casserole Recipe
- Turn oven on to 400 degrees
- In a bowl, mix together the onions, bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, and ground beef
- Roll into balls and bake for 15 minutes
- Reduce oven temp down to 350
- Place the bread cubes into a casserole dish
- In a bowl, mix together cream cheese, mayo, italian seasoning, and pepper
- Add this cheese mixture into casserole dish
- Top with 1/2 cup of grated cheese
- In a bowl, mix the spaghetti sauce, garlic, and water
- Add in the meatballs and mix well
- Add the meatball mixture iinto casserole dish
- Top with remianing mozzarella cheese
- Bake for 30 minutes
Made this Italian Meatball Casserole Recipe the other day....I had the recipe to just make the sandwiches with pretty much the same ingredients but loved the casserole idea, turned out perfect
