Bacon Mac and Cheese Casserole Recipe
Ingredients
2 slices bacon
8 ounces penne pasta
1 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
3 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups milk

- Turn oven on to 350 degrees
- In a pan cook the bacon until crisp. Drain and crumble
- In a pot, cook the pasta following directions
- In a nother pan, saute the onion and garlic
- In a saucepan, add the melted butter and flour
- Add the milk and mix until thickened
- Mix in 2 cups of cheddar cheese until melted
- In a large bowl, mix together pasta, vegetables, and sauce
- Add bacon and pasta to casserole dish
- Bake for 20 minutes
Very good! One of the best bacon mac and cheese casserole recipes I've used. My additions: 1/2 tsp. dry mustard, 1/4 tsp. pepper, and 1/2 tsp. salt. The mustard adds a bit more flavor.
